Second Annual Super Fest Recap

February 12, 2019

On Saturday, February 2, 2019, over 150 families, volunteers and coaches gathered at Life Time Sport Winter Park to host the second annual Super Fest. This fully-inclusive football and cheer-leading clinic had coaches from the Armstrong Cooper Youth Football AssociationConcordia University Saint Paul Golden BearsMN Vikings and the University of Minnesota Gophers.

We had many exciting guests as well at Super Fest: Viktor the Vikings Mascot, the Vikings Skol Line, Eden Prairie Mayor Ron Case and former NFL legends Willie Nelson and Ryan Hoag.

The national organizer, The Matthew Foundation, hosted the event in Atlanta in conjunction with this year’s Super Bowl LIII. The event was hosted last year in Minneapolis along with Super Bowl LII, and was a huge success. Paul’s Pals, along with a group of other local organizations, hosted the first ever satellite Super Fest event.

The inclusive clinics prepared the football players & cheerleaders for our big game portion of the event. The football players created six teams and played scrimmages against each other: Eagles vs. Chiefs, Saints vs. Cowboys and Rams vs. Patriots. The cheerleaders and Skol Line gave fans a halftime show to excite fans & prepare them for the second half.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered and helped plan our event. Save the date for February 1, 2020 at Life Time Sport Winter Park!
