The 2nd Annual AuSM Self-Advocacy Summit will include a keynote presentation and breakout sessions featuring topics including mental health, executive function, sensory needs, employment, relationships, and more. This event is for adults with autism by adults with autism.
Self-Advocacy Summit 2019 Call for Submissions
AuSM currently is seeking one-hour presentations from autistic individuals about topics including emotion regulation, executive function, relationships, employment, transition, housing, advocacy, stigma, self-care, sensory integration, navigating services, friendships, and mental health. AuSM’s Self-Advocacy Speakers Committee will evaluate proposals and those submitting proposals will be contacted by June 24, 2019 regarding the status of their proposal. A limited number of proposals will be accepted. Proposals will be evaluated based on the relevance of the topic to our audience, the background of the presenter, and creating a day that is balanced in topics and difficulty level.
