The Adaptive Sports USA Junior Nationals are an avenue for young athletes up to age 22 to showcase their abilities through sport and to promote physical activity and socialization. The Championships serve as an opportunity for individuals to advance along the athlete pipeline that may one day lead them to compete at the international level and the Paralympic Games.
Sports include archery, powerlifting, swimming, table tennis and track and field. Exhibition sports are also featured and educational and social opportunities are provided for athletes, parents, coaches, and officials during the week. Junior Nationals is an avenue for young athletes to showcase their abilities through sport. The event is a platform to promote physical activity and independence. Athletes often experience heightened socialization, self-esteem and confidence and develop self-discipline and focus while training for and participating in the event.
Volunteer at the Adaptive Sports USA Jr Nationals!
Volunteer yourself, with a group of friends or with some coworkers throughout the week of July 14-19 at the Jr Nationals! Various shifts are available each day for a wide variety of events, including (but not limited to) the Welcome Celebration on Tuesday night, sporting events each day, and the Closing Celebration on Friday night.
